A Legacy of Baking, A Dash of Texan Inspiration

The heart of Pana Donuts beats with a rhythm that began generations ago. Our founder, Arron Sok, carries the love for baking in his blood, a trait inherited from his mother who owned a beloved bakery shop in his home country. This early exposure to the art of baking instilled a deep appreciation for fresh ingredients and the magic of creating something wonderful from scratch.

After moving to the United States in 2003, Arron’s journey led him to Texas, where he first encountered the quintessential American donut. It was there, in a little donut shop, that a new dream began to take shape. A dream to combine his family’s baking legacy with the delightful appeal of the donut. He envisioned a place where quality, freshness, and a welcoming atmosphere would come together to create something truly special.

The Meaning Behind Pana​

The name “Pana” is very close to our hearts, as it represents the core of our inspiration. Each letter is an initial from Arron’s own family: P for his wife, Peach; A for Arron himself; N for his son, Nelson; and A for his daughter, Athena. This name serves as a constant reminder that Pana Donuts is built on love, unity, and the strength of family bonds.

In 2019, this dream became a reality when Arron opened the first Pana Donuts. It was a leap of faith fueled by passion and the unwavering support of his family. From the very beginning, it was an all-hands-on-deck endeavor. Arron, his wife, his parents, and even his cousins all pitched in, pouring their energy and dedication into establishing Pana Donuts as a place where customers would feel like part of the family.

Growing with Our Community

The response from the community was heartwarming. A year after opening the first shop, Pana Donuts expanded, opening two more locations. This growth continued steadily, with two or three new stores opening each subsequent year, allowing us to share our unique donut experience with even more people. This expansion, while exciting, has always been guided by our founding principles; to grow as a family, often bringing in friends who share our values and commitment to quality.

Giving Back to the Community That Supports Us

We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our communities. To show our appreciation, we are committed to giving back. Every year on Donut Day, all our Pana Donuts locations participate in a special fundraiser for the Salvation Army. We give away a single donut to our patrons and donate 50% of all sales from that day to this wonderful organization. It’s a tradition we’ve proudly upheld for the past three years and one we plan to continue for many more to come.
